The City of Miami Gardens has unveiled a new landmark aimed at fostering community pride and engagement. In collaboration with the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) and the National Association of REALTORS®, the city introduced four-foot-tall, Instagram-ready letters spelling out ‘Miami Gardens’ at the Sunshine State Arch, located at NW 13th Ave and 167th St.
These monumental letters serve as a vibrant focal point for residents and visitors, providing a picturesque setting that encourages social interaction and community bonding. The initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize public spaces and promote local identity.
MIAMI REALTORS® has been instrumental in enhancing South Florida communities through similar projects, having invested over $558,000 in placemaking grants since 2017. Previous installations include monumental letters in Miami, Doral, Sweetwater, Miami Springs, and Jupiter.
The unveiling ceremony, held on May 5, 2025, was attended by city officials, community leaders, and residents who celebrated the addition of this new landmark. The project underscores the city’s commitment to creating engaging public spaces that reflect the vibrant culture and spirit of Miami Gardens.
Residents are encouraged to visit the site, take photos, and share their experiences on social media, further promoting the city’s unique character and fostering a sense of community pride.
